1WELL is committed to empowering people to help high-need communities around the world build a foundation for self-reliance and escaping poverty. 1WELL partners with local grassroots organizations to provide communities with clean-drinking water, toilets, rainwater harvesting, childcare centers, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and other infrastructure that addresses the communities’ basic needs. Help SEWA Recover from Ahmedabad Bomb Blasts

On July 26th, 18 bombs went off in the crowded markets and civilian areas around Ahmedabad, India, killing 54 and injuring 120 people. Ahmedabad is the home of the Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA), 1Well’s partner that is dedicated to eradicating poverty through employment and self-reliance. Nine SEWA members and relatives are reported dead and at least 12 injured. Poor families have no safety net, so when a wage earner dies or cannot work, the impact is devastating.
